With twenty-seven years of experience, Garth is a second-generation Investment Professional known for his expertise and innovative perspectives. As co-founder of Northern Light Wealth, Garth works closely with affluent families and business owners to strategically enhance and protect their wealth.
Garth’s career began in 1998 under the mentorship of his father at Merrill Lynch Canada. After the acquisition by CIBC Wood Gundy, he graduated top of his national rookie class. His work with both private client families and institutions has given him a comprehensive understanding of Canada’s evolving investment landscape, enabling him to design thoughtful, adaptive strategies.
As a proud and gifted dyslexic, Garth approaches challenges with an innovative mindset. He is guided by a belief that everything is connected, and no decisions happen in isolation. This perspective allows him to uncover connections others miss, foster collaborative outcomes.
Outside of his professional life, Garth is inspired by his wife, a health scientist who shares his passion for intellectual exploration and challenging societal norms. Together, they are raising three children with a focus on gratitude, community, and giving back.
