The Portal is intended for use only by or on behalf of you for the sole purpose of receiving electronic delivery of documents from Northern Light and to access and download documents and information about your dealings with Northern Light.
All statements or information contained on the Portal are based on information believed to be reliable and are provided for information purposes only. Unless the document is an official statement or notification, Northern Light makes no warranty expressed or implied regarding the accuracy or completeness of the information provided. Where information on the portal is based in whole or in part on information provided by third parties, Northern Light cannot guarantee that it is accurate, complete or current at all times. Hence Northern Light and its affiliates and related entities are not liable for any errors or omissions in such information or for any loss or damage suffered.

We do not represent or warrant that this Portal will be accessible at all times and that access will not be interrupted, or that this Portal will be free of defects, errors, viruses or other harmful components. We reserve the right to make changes to the Portal in our sole discretion. From time to time, we may restrict access to some parts or all of the Portal, to you, without prior notice.
Certain names, words, titles, phrases, logos, icons, graphics or designs in the pages of this Portal may constitute trade names, registered or unregistered trade-marks or service marks (“Trade-marks”) of Northern Light or of third parties and are used under license by Northern Light. However, the display of Trade-marks on pages in this Portal does not imply that any license has been granted to any third party. Unauthorized use or exploitation of any Portal content is strictly prohibited including without limitation, unauthorized downloading, retransmission, storage in any medium, copying, redistribution, reproduction, or republication of the Portal, or any part thereof, for any purpose.
Unless otherwise agreed, Northern Light may discontinue or modify the Portal at any time without prior notice to you, and you accept those modifications if you continue to use the Portal.
All content on the Portal is presented only as of the date published or indicated and may be superseded by subsequent events or for other reasons. In addition, you are responsible for setting the cache setting on your browser to ensure you are receiving the most recent data.
You have or will be provided an email link to establish your own password for access to the Portal, you are solely responsible for all activities that occur in connection with your password. Accordingly, you should take steps to protect the confidentiality of your password. Notify Northern Light immediately if you become aware of any disclosure, loss, theft or unauthorized use of your password.
We are committed to respecting the privacy of your information and we will not collect, use or disclose your information in a manner that is inconsistent with our Privacy Policy which is disclosed to you in the Client Relationship Disclosure Document.
Disclosure of Information. We may exchange information provided by you or about you (such as your name and transactional data) and technical data (such as device identifier, IP address and location) for internal analytics and reporting, to help manage fraud, security and error or to improve the Portal and its functionality, or to assist us in improving our service offering.
Cookies. The Portal uses a technology called “cookies”. A cookie is a tiny element of data that the Portal can send to your browser, which may then be stored on your hard drive so that you can be recognized when you return. We use cookies on the pages on the Portal where you are prompted to log in or that are customizable. These cookies may let us know who you are and identify your browser as one that has visited the Portal before and may be necessary to access your account information (stored on our computers) in order to deliver products and personalized services. Analytics. We may use third parties to help us gather and analyze information about the areas visited on the Portal in order to better understand, evaluate and improve the user experience and the convenience of the Portal.

Northern Light does not warrant that the Portal will meet your needs, or that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. We also make no warranty that the results obtained from the use of the Portal will be accurate or reliable, or that the quality of any products, services, information or other material purchased or obtained by you through the Portal will meet your expectations.
Northern Light will not be liable to you or anyone else for any consequential, incidental, special or indirect damages (including but not limited to lost profits, trading losses or damages that result from use or loss of use of the Portal and content, inconvenience or delay). This is true even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage or losses.
Northern Light will not be liable to you or anyone else for any loss resulting from a cause over which Northern Light does not have direct control. These include failure of electronic or mechanical equipment or communications lines (including telephone, cable and Internet), unauthorized access, viruses, theft, operator errors, severe or extraordinary weather (including flood, earthquake or other act of God), fire, war, insurrection, terrorist act, riot, labour dispute and other labour problems, accident, emergency or action of government.
If any provision of these Terms is deemed unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent possible, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You submit and attorn to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta to finally adjudicate or determine any suit, action or proceeding arising out of or in connection with your use of this Portal.
